For the third time in four years, Tauckhas been named “World’s Best River Cruise Line” by readers of the popular Travel + Leisure magazine.
“We provide a complete destination experience with all of the various elements seamlessly integrated and meticulously choreographed,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar. “Our riverboats are thoughtfully and beautifully designed, and we also have 90 years’ experience immersing our guests into the history and culture of different destinations. The insider access and unique cultural experiences we build into our river cruises were instrumental in achieving this honor.”
Travel + Leisure readers were asked to rank river cruise lines based on six categories: cabins/facilities, restaurants/food, service, itineraries/destinations, excursions/activities, and value. Tauck captured the highest score among river cruise lines based on those categories.
This year, two new vessels have joined the Tauck fleet. At 443 feet in length, ms Inspire and the recently-launched ms Savor are the largest vessels in the Tauck fleet, yet carry only 13 additional guests over the line’s existing river cruise ships. Both new vessels also sport an industry-first: spacious Loft Staterooms that span 225-square feet and include a raised seating area that comes complete with 1.5-story tall windows that open electronically to let in more natural light and fresh air.
Tauck is also continuing to enhance their river cruise itineraries with events designed exclusively for Tauck. This year, guests can enjoy a private dinner inside the 1,000-year old Reichenstein Castle along the Rhine, or even attend a private talk by Celia Sandys – the granddaughter of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
