The Silver Spirit, scheduled to launch this December, will be the largest ship in the luxury fleet of Silversea Cruises. At 36,000 tons, the 540-passenger Silver Spirit will have space for some features that are new to the cruise line.
This well-designed, all-suite vessel will offer the most spacious accommodations among Silversea’s ships. Each suite will have a separate sitting area, walk-in closet, marble bathroom, full-size bathtub and flat-screen television. Guests will also enjoy expansive ocean views, and 95 percent of the suites will have private teak verandas.
Some dining options will be familiar to Silversea guests, including the simply named Restaurant, which features international cuisine; La Terrazza, an indoor-outdoor restaurant with a buffet breakfast and lunch and Italian fare at dinner; and Le Champagne, an intimate spot for elegant six-course meals. The larger size of the Silver Spirit makes room for two new dining spots: Stars, which will feature live music and dancing with a modern supper club menu; and stylish Seishin Restaurant, which will offer delicious Kobe beef, sushi and Asian seafood specialties.
The Silver Spirit will launch from Barcelona for an 11-night maiden voyage to Lisbon. Then, the ship will make a 16-night transatlantic crossing, arriving in Ft. Lauderdale on January 19. After an official dedication ceremony, the ship will depart for a 91-day cruise of South America that includes a number of overnight port calls, including one in Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval. This cruise is also available in segments, but guests who sign on for the full voyage will enjoy a number of exclusive benefits, including private onshore events and a VIP evening at Carnaval.
