Cruise Specialists clients, known for being particularly inquisitive about the destinations they’re visiting, are thrilled to find we have an in-house shore excursion department to organize exceptional VIP group tours, in addition to personal, customized shore tours.
In late 2016, Heather Visser, who was instrumental in creating the Cruise Specialists Shore Excursions department, returned to the company after a several-year absence while starting a family. Back at the helm of this exciting department, she jumped right into the sometimes challenging, yet highly-fulfilling task of crafting “dream” tours for our clients.
On Cruise Specialists hosted voyages, there will usually be at least one exclusive group tour – and on hosted World Cruises it is frequently up to about 15; including two to three exclusive overland (multi-day) tours.
Heather looks for opportunities to craft much more than a standard city-orientation coach tour, although that continues to be an appealing option for many. Think evening excursions, special
interest programs, wine-themed experiences, wildlife tours and more.
Requests for private shore tours are also common, anywhere from Bangkok to Beijing, or the Peruvian Amazon to Prague. The experience Heather has on the ground in nearly 80 countries enables her to help Cruise Specialists clients maximize their time and enjoyment of each destination they tour.
