Cruise Specialists hosted a special party for about 200 of our clients who were about to depart from Fort Lauderdale on Holland America Line’s Grand World Voyage. This is an amazing 114-day voyage around the world, which began on January 5, 2015.
The Cruise Specialists group will be entitled to special perks along the way and will benefit from the assistance of three voyage hosts who look after our guests throughout the trip.
We asked some of our guests:

Beauty:
“I love going back to Australia and New Zealand. I love the beauty of Sydney. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world to visit.”
“I like just looking out at the ocean. I’m a thinker.”
Connection:
“On the sail-away from each port, it’s fun to meet up with other passengers and compare stories of what we saw and did.”
“There is such a nice community that forms over time on a world cruise.”
Unplug:
“I’m looking forward to not using email and totally unplugging!”

Adventure:
“I’m looking forward to Egypt. It’s been a dream of mine my entire life. We’re going to have lunch on the Nile River.”

The ship:
“I’m looking forward to the ship itself, the ms Amsterdam. Within the first month of this cruise, we’ll have spent an entire year on the Amsterdam. It’s our favorite ship.”
“The staff is very helpful and reliable. If they say something is going to happen, it happens.”
“I’m looking forward to how they do things on the ship. I was in the merchant marine years ago. We used to navigate by the sun and stars. So I’m looking forward to how they do things now.”
