Cruise Specialists Voyage host Tom Mullen has become a fixture on world cruises and grand voyages, helping to entertain and guide our guests. On the Grand Pacific and Far East Voyage on the Holland America Line ms Amsterdam he has been sending post cards to document their stops!
Read part one to see their kick off in Alaska.
Now Tom catches us up on their first stops in Japan.
Tom selected a few beautiful scenes to both show off the culture and the places they are visiting during each stop.
“Beautiful day here in Nagasaki. Plenty of people shopping here for kimonos of many designs.”
Featured in his next two post cards is the Kenrokuen Garden, which consists of 11.4 acres developed from 1640 to the mid-1800’s with a large artificial pond and year round flowering plants.
“Kanazawa, Japan – It’s a beautiful Sunday here and nice week in the port at the famous gardens. Today suite master (?) bought a lovely kimono.”
“Today in our final port of call here in Japan. It’s been a lovely time here, old and new worlds mix. Today is the Port of Nagasaki.”
Check back in a few weeks for another update from Tom!
