Cruise Specialists President Cruise aboard Holland America Line

We sailed aboard Holland America Line’s ms Prinsendam from London to Rome for fifteen fabulous days. It was such a special treat to spend so much wonderful time with our clients.

One of the perks of a Cruise Specialists hosted voyage is the fun and festivities planned, not to mention the great camaraderie created between everyone in the Cruise Specialists group. Our onboard private cocktail parties were a blast and well attended by all, including the ships officers. It was fun to see long time clients again and meet several that were new to Cruise Specialists and hear how wonderful they think their agent and Cruise Specialists is. Our complimentary private shore excursion in Barcelona was awesome. We had a city tour followed by an authentic Flamenco Dinner show and everyone loved it.

This also happened to be a Mariner Society (Holland America Line’s repeat client program) cruise so our dear friend Gerald Bernhoft, Director of the Mariner Society, was onboard with us for most of the cruise. One formal, following dinner, we were invited to an “Officer’s Ball” which was very, very special. The ball began with the Captain having the first dance with the “first lady” onboard, who happened to be Cruise Specialists client Marian Bonds (pictured right). Marian and her husband Joe have sailed an amazing 1,110 days with Holland America Line!

The entire staff aboard Holland America line is fabulous. I can’t rave enough about the crew and how special they treat each of our clients as if they were a true onboard family. Even Captain Gundersen treated our clients with such care.

I should also mention, the ms Prinsendam is in great shape. As many people know only a few days earlier she had taken on some storm damage while at sea, but by the time we arrived in Tilbury (London) the maintenance crews were in full swing and before we knew it the repairs were done without any affect on us. First Class!
